Tower of London evacuated after fire breaks out in restaurant kitchen - night common

The Tower of London changed into evacuated this evening after a fireplace broke out in a kitchen.

Attendees to the congress posted photos and movies on Twitter showing a few fire engines outdoor the historic landmark and crowds of people who had been compelled to leave the building. 

Gasant Abarder (@GasantAbarder) tweeted: "So i'm on the Tower of London and there's a hearth. every person evacuated. here's now not a drill."

four hearth engines were despatched to the scene after a small fire broke out in the New Armouries restaurant kitchen, a London fire Brigade spokeswoman spoke of. 

Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the blaze and emergency capabilities left the Tower of London shortly before 8.15pm. 

there were no stories of any accidents.

The INMA congress runs from may also 22 to 24 and brings collectively journalists from internationally to talk about the evolving nature of information.

The welcome reception takes area at the Tower of London this night and awards dinner may be hosted at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
